The destination known as “Los Cabos” is actually two destinations in one. There are two “Cabo” towns: San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. These sister towns, while near one another, could not be more different. Cabo San Lucas is a much livelier and upbeat town, attracting travelers who like to explore all day and party into the night. San Jose del Cabo is more laid-back, inviting you to relax, recharge and reconnect. In both towns, you can expect mountainous views, delicious food, Mexico’s best golf courses, and plenty of sunshine. Your Los Cabos vacation package awaits!

Land’s End Arch
If you search the internet for “Los Cabos,” odds are you’ll come across pictures of the Land’s End Arch. It’s a pretty cool rock formation, after all. And since the area’s sandy beach is called “Playa del Amor,” you know it’s a romantic spot.
-
Water Sports
The rockiness of most beaches in Los Cabos makes them un-swimmable. But there are still plenty of other ways to enjoy the ocean, including the Sea of Cortez. It’s sometimes called “The Aquarium of the World” by divers who love exploring its depths. Deep-sea fishing is big here, since “the big one” is in season pretty much year-round. If whale-watching is more your style, La Paz Bay is home to humpback whales all winter.
-
Golf
We’ll just come right out and say it: Los Cabos is one of the best places in Mexico for championship-level golf. For starters, Cabo del Sol’s Ocean Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, has crazy ocean views to accompany the challenging golf game, while the unique Desert Course designed by Tom Weiskopf offers its own challenges. At Puerto Los Cabos, you can play holes by Greg Norman, and at Cabo Real, the championship course by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. takes you up the mountainside and back down to sea level in 18 holes. If you want the spectacular views but a less intense round of golf, head to the Cabo San Lucas Country Club, where the 18th hole overlooks Land’s End. Bottom line? Wherever you play, it’s going to be impressive.
-
Nightlife
The party in Cabo San Lucas doesn’t stop after the sun goes down. If live music is your thing, then make a stop at Cabo Wabo for drinks and dancing. And since craft beers and microbreweries are all the rage in the U.S., you can impress your beer-loving friends back home by visiting Baja Brewing Company, Cabo’s first microbrewery.

Arts
San Jose del Cabo is a quieter, more refined town with a focus on the arts. The beautiful downtown area is inland from the coast and offers the most authentically Mexican vibe in the area with its beautiful church and cobblestone streets. Although the beaches near San Jose del Cabo are not swimmable, they are long and lovely, perfect for walking or jogging. Sounds like a pretty relaxing vacation to us.
