Oct 01, 2023Horrible Experience Overall: Food, Service, Experience
This is our 3rd 5 star resort trip to Cancun. This was the worst by far. - no alcoholic drinks brought up to room coffee in the morning - Food was bad. Worse than Cuba - Bar drinks were horrible - Service everywhere bars, front desk, restaurants horrible - Deserts were horrible - No buffets except breakfast - Service poor and slow at restaurants - Not 5 star quality - The few activists we tried to go to - there was no Spanish lessons. The scheduled classes don’t actually happen - Bartenders are bad - No bars outside - Too many people selling things to us without actually providing anything - not personalized anything. It was my birthday while we were here and they did nothing. - there is no waiters by the pools at any time. You have to go to the bar to get drinks - we paid $6000 for this trip and we regret every dime we spent. There is nothing positive I can say about my experience here. I’m shocked by the rave reviews by others. We have complained about our experience to the front desk with no remedy. We hope that the last few days will be a better experience.

This is my 8th time visiting Live Aqua. We're 4 traveling all the time. We all agree that we're treated like family. Alfredo Santamaria along with his team Crescencio, Eli, and Tonatiu went above and beyond. It all started with our suite it was decorated for my husband's birthday. They even wrote his nickname on the mirror doors, amazing touch. Stephanie our butler was also great, very informative and helped with getting a cake specially made for the hubby. John and Monica from Sea Corner were also great, made amazing recommendations. Most of our time is spent at the pool and the beach bar. Crescencio, Eli, Tonatiu, Manuel and Florentino are the best. They remember our favorite drinks, even named/created a drink after us. Their hospitality is the best and makes us feel right at home. That's why we keep going back. Truly home away from home where we feel welcome. Overall my husband will never forget his birthday for all the right reasons.

Omar made the trip worth it
We were kind of being ignored here for the most part (waiting 20-30 mins even to be ask what we would like to drink at the hotel restaurants) until, Omar our server at MB, he was so warm and friendly and gave us the experience of a life time. He really deserves all the praise. I was expecting even half the service we received from him from everyone but that was not at all the case. He really went above and beyond. If we ever come back we would certainly make sure we saw him.

Girls trip, 2023
Had an amazing time in Live Aqua resort, Cancun. Our Butler’s Alex and Alan were fabulous. The resort was amazing, spotlessly clean. The beach with clear, blue water and white sand was out of this world. The beds were super comfy !! Highly recommend this resort . It’s staff were polite, courteous, attentive, and quite frankly amazing.

Best sushi and staff!
Our favorite food at the resort was the sushi place. They were extremely courteous of our gluten allergy and remembered us each night and were able to accommodate. Chef Carlos Gonzalez and Chef Julio were the best and made the BEST sushi!
